I would take Hofmann off the list. He's pulling an Andersen and not wanting to sign. He went back into the draft this year and no one took him. |

As a Canes fan I hate to say it but lately Rutherford has done a great job of drafting a competitive AHL team. The system is definately lacking in top 6 forward and top 4 defensive talent at the NHL level. |

He and his staff are a lot like the Flyers, very good with offensive talent especially in the first round, but seem to have troubles drafting and developing defensemen (outside of Faulk who is really good obviously). |
